Job Summary  

This is an exciting role as a Compliance Specialist in the Japan subsidiary of a leading global cardiovascular and endovascular company. This role empowers the right candidate to have flexible working arrangement, 4~5 days a week negotiable.

 

Compliance:

This role will be the Compliance business partner with our Japan commercial team (which includes both Cordis Japan and its sister company Med Alliance Japan) and provide training and support on compliance matters. At a high level, key responsibilities in Compliance are to continuously implementing and optimizing the compliance management framework of Cordis, simplify, update or implement policies where needed and to promote the Compliance Culture in the organization to ensure that we conduct business in accordance with relevant Japanese laws and industry codes – such as the Japan Fair Trade Commission (JFTC) rules.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and participate in the Japan Compliance Committee to support assessing compliance risks associated with the Cordis Japan’s business.
  • Maintain the Compliance Policies & SOPs in Japan to ensure Cordis Japan grows its business in Japan the right way, in line with applicable laws and regulations and Cordis global policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and deliver relevant and engaging compliance training courses to our Japan teammates and coordinate on compliance culture related events.
  • Problem solving with the Japan commercial team; conduct HCP-related activity review and pre-approval.
  • Take a risk-based approach to conduct compliance monitoring programs in relating to HCP interactions and third-party management (Due Diligence, etc.); support to complete annual transparency reporting for Cordis Japan.
  • Support on compliance investigations where needed; participate in the Japan Disciplinary Committee to support the review of potential
  • Participate in industry associations discussions to ensure their rules and guidelines are well understood. Coordinate with teammates to participate in external events organized by the associations.
  • Participate in compliance projects with the regional/global teammates on an ad hoc basis.
  • Support Corporate registry and legal administrative matters.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor or above degree (Degree in law, audit or other relevant area is preferred)
  • Approximate 3-6 years working experience; at least 2 years of experience in healthcare or related industry in Japan, preferably compliance role in multinational healthcare company
  • Having understanding in compliance related laws & regulations, and industry compliance codes is preferred
  • Experience of working in multinational companies with a diverse cultural background is preferred.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registration

  • Certified JFTC Instructor is an advantage (not a requirement)

 

Skills

  • Professional in Microsoft software (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Japanese (native language fluency) and English (business fluency) bilingual skills
